Code of Conduct

Members:
Accredited members of the LFWA are party to the LFWA Code of Conduct in terms of which the Independent Wholesalers customer is assured that a member of the LFWA undertakes to:
Sell his quality products and services at a fair and reasonable price;
Honor both in letter and in spirit any contractual agreements applicable to products and services sold by them;
Added to this; In terms of LFWA Constitution, Members are required, at all times, to ensure that they are fully compliant with the Competition Act. In this regard, LFWA and its Members will not engage in any discussion, activity or conduct that may contravene any provisions of the Competition Act. In particular, Members will not discuss, communicate or exchange any commercially sensitive information, including non-public information relating to prices, marketing and advertisement strategy, costs and revenues, volume and discounting, rebate information, trading terms and conditions, purchasing strategies, terms of supply, or distribution strategies. This applies not only to interactions in the context of formal LFWA meetings but also to discussions, communications or exchanges between Members before, during or after LFWA meetings.”
Management Team : The Management Team is the Governing body of the LFWA and as such all communications ( and in particular with the press ) need to be cleared by the Management Team before being issued.

Confidentiality
We are committed to maintaining the highest degree of integrity in all our dealings with potential, current and past customers, both in terms of normal commercial confidentiality, and the protection of all personal information received in the course of providing the business services concerned.
Ethics
We always conduct our own business honestly and honourably, and expect our customers and suppliers to do the same.
Duty of care
The advice and actions OF LFWA members are expected to conform to relevant law.
The advice and actions of LFWA members are expected to agree with the intention of the Liquid Fuels Transformation agenda.
Contracts
Our contract will usually be in the form of a detailed proposal, including activities, costs, timescales and deliverables. The quality of our service and the value of our support provide the only true basis for continuity. We always try to meet our customer’s contractual requirements.
Intellectual property and moral rights
We retain the moral rights in, and ownership of, all intellectual property that we create unless agreed otherwise in advance with our customers. In return we respect the moral and intellectual copyright vested in our customer’s intellectual property.
Professional conduct
We conduct all of our activities professionally and with integrity.
Equality and discrimination
We always strive to be fair and objective in our actions, and we are never influenced in our decisions, actions or recommendations by issues of gender, race, creed, colour, age or personal disability.
